Reflecting back to the Kawamura Fellowship Program, I do not know how to begin to express my gratitude over this truly amazing lifetime experience. First of all I want to thank the Kawamura Company, CoTech International Company and Ando Cloisonné Company, all the people who had gave up their time to talk to us, and everyone who helped in organizing this program.
The experience that I have obtained from joining this fellowship program had been a very privileged experience because given that I have been living in Japan for around ten months before the program had commenced, it was impossible to acquire such an experience. Throughout this one month I was able to visit many companies as well as their factories. For example the Kawamura factory, the Chunichi newspaper company, the Chugoku newspaper company, Kirin Beer Factory, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries factory, and the Toyota factory. To be honest, I am very unfamiliar with these industries and it was the first time for me to visit these types of places. However, I was very impressed by each factory that we had visited in many ways. Since I am a business-major student, visiting these successful, highly-ranked companies, was very excited because I have been longing to know in what ways do Japanese businesses managed and operated since Japan has become one of the leading country in the global economy. For example, I was very eager to learn about the companies itself, their products and markets, and how do they operate their companies, factories, and their human resources. All of the staffs who kindly came and assisted us during the companies or factories tour were very informative; thus, we have learnt a lot from them.
